The Purple Sunset is a homegrown gifting brand born during the quiet days of COVID. Specializing in personalized, handmade hampers, the brand blends thoughtful customization, luxury aesthetics, and an old-school charm that brings back the beauty of handwritten notes, meaningful keepsakes, and gifts made with heart. The Purple Sunset delivers handmade love to your doorstep— a silent promise of warmth and healing from a girl who believes that love comes personalized, like in the 90s, wrapped in handmade brown covers with little love notes, stamps, and quiet moments hidden within. In a colorless world, love can still be understood in the language of colors.

FROM THE FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Gunveen — the heart behind The
Purple Sunset. It all began during the quiet days of COVID, when I made a small
hamper for a friend, shared it online, and received my very first order the
very next day. What started as a simple act of love quickly grew into something
much bigger — a way to share warmth, connection, and handmade love with people
everywhere.
THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME
The name The Purple Sunset carries a story that’seven more personal. Back in 2019, on my first-ever trip with my collegefriends, we reached the last stop of our journey — exhausted, emotional, andtrying to soak in the bittersweet feeling of something beautiful coming to anend. That’s when I witnessed my first purple sunset — a surreal sky painted inshades of violet and pink, perfectly capturing the strange beauty of endingsthat don’t quite feel like endings. That moment stayed with me so deeply that thepicture I clicked that day has been my Instagram display photo ever since. Whenit came time to name my brand, everyone suggested words like Sunrise tosymbolize new beginnings — but for me, it had to be Sunset. That sky taught methat some endings are simply beautiful beginnings in disguise.

because they can be beginnings too.”
